Saw Reboot Confirmed!!!

"Hello, I want to play a game. Where everyone thinks my movies are over, and I come back to shed more terror into the minds of all who see me. Let the games begin."

It has been officially confirmed that Lionsgate is currently developing a new Saw Movie. This movie will NOT be a continuation of the original 7 films, but an entirely different direction. The report states Lionsgate is working on the 8th Saw movie, but with a completely new concept. I personally loved the Saw franchise, and I think a reboot with a new direction is the precise way to go with a successful franchise that is still fresh in everyone's minds. This will allow them to not only create a new story, but potentially continue to make more Saw movies off of that story if the other direction is successful. No release dates or plot details have been announced due to the project being newly in development, but this is exciting news for the Saw fans out there. Are you excited for another Saw film? Should they just leave the franchise alone?

Warner Bros. announces upcoming DC movie List

Warner Bros. movie list has been "leaked" to the public, and there are some big movies on the list. Here is the now confirmed list of movies D.C. and WB have coming out in the next four years:

May 2016 - Batman v Superman: Dawn Of Justice
July 2016 - Shazam (Captain Marvel for those who aren't familiar)
Christmas 2016 - Sandman
May 2017 - Justice League
July 2017 - Wonder Woman
Christmas 2017 - Green Lantern/Flash Team up
May 2018 - Man of Steel 2

Ok, first lets look at the positives. Obviously you have BvS:DOJ which could be one of the most anticipated comic book movies ever. You also have a Green Lantern/Flash team up movie which is a great idea because you can reboot Green Lantern and get Flash on the big screen in a large but not main role. I've been waiting for them to finally give Flash his movie debut. But the best movie on that list in my opinion, after BvS and JL, is in July 2017. Finally, we will see a standalone Wonder Woman movie! She is one of the best super-heroines in the comics, and her on screen debut is long overdue. I'm hoping Gal Gadot does Wonder Woman justice, because a lot is riding on her. I am highly anticipating MOS 2 because I loved the first one and I am looking forward to more from Henry Cavills development as Clark Kent, and his relationship with Lois Lane(Amy Adams).

Now a few negatives about this list. First, man is it crowded in just a small window of time. I do not care how many movies Marvel has come out with. One thing that will ruin D.C. chances of competing with Marvel is lack of quality. Marvel is absolutely destroying the movie world right now, and not just because of quantity, their movies are solid. In my opinion, Ironman 2 was the worst of the Avengers movies, but I'd watch that over Green Lantern, Batman Forever, and Batman and Robin and any Superman movie before Man of Steel. I'd rather have them take their time and get it right. Speaking of Man of Steel, boy is Henry Cavill getting a raw deal. A standalone sequel to MOS 5 years and 6 movies after the first one?!?! I know he is doing Batman v Superman, but that's nothing more than a Justice League prequel given all the characters being announced. I would have liked to see a MOS sequel leading into BvS and JL, so that we could see his character develop more and also see how is adapting to his power before running into Batman. Maybe he is still struggling between Mortality and Immortality and that's how Batman will have a chance to defeat him. I'm disappointed that they have not yet confirmed an Aquaman movie. If they develop Aquaman correctly, he will be a force to be reckon with.

It's definitely is a great lineup for D.C. Just hope that they take their time and do it right, or D.C. will never be able to Avenge their lost time(See what I did there). So what do you think of the lineup, which movie are you most anticipating.

Scream TV show on MTV???

Scream is currently in production on a pilot episode for a TV series to debut on MTV allegedly this summer. There is very little information on this project, which leads me to think this summer may not be the actual target date, and its currently unclear how much of the show if any will be based off of the Four Scream films. Wes Craven is directing the pilot, so that is always a positive sign. However, I am unsure about this as a TV series, especially on MTV. I've read that one angle was going to be just a new series completely unrelated to the movies, which I think could be ok. It would give the series its own identity to an extent. I also have read that they may go in the direction of Ghostface being supernatural, where he is an actual ghost coming back to kill people. That seems much more far fetched, but we have to wait to hear more about it. Sounds like they are going to see what kind of fanfare they get from the pilot and go from there. To me, the fact that I do not see much about a show that is being released this summer says something about where they are at with it. Hopefully it does well, but I wouldn't hold my breath. What do you think, are you excited about a Scream TV series? Or did Scream fade out like home phones and CD players?

Scream 5 gets the Greenlight!!

Scream 5 has officially been green-lit. According to moviepilot.com, it states that Wes Craven is involved in the making of this new film, however no other information was provided at this point. I can tell you that I thoroughly enjoy the Scream series, but without no new information provided, I'm cautiously optimistic about this one. I thought that Scream 4 was going to be bad, but it surprised me and I found it rather enjoyable given that it was considered a reboot with some of the same cast from the original. It was stated in the article that this would be the final installment in the series, which I fill could would work great if they used a completely different angle. One thing about the Scream series that is consistent is that the killers all had some sort of attachment to Sidney Prescott. If this is the final installment, then they could go way out there and just have someone who is trying to kill Sidney and the rest of the Woodsboro originals. Build it up to where they feel that Sidney's death would be the holy grail of all serial killings to them. I feel that this franchise, more than any other, could benefit from the main character being killed. It makes sense given all the close calls that Sidney has experienced, and I feel that it's time she meets her inevitable fate. Just my opinion though.

Tell me your thoughts on a new and potentially last Scream movie in the comments

10 Villains I would like to see in the Batman Reboot

Let's face it, like him or not, Batman is going to get rebooted again. Just a matter of time before it happens, most likely after Justice League. Below is my short list of Villains I would like to see in the inevitable Batman Reboot. Some of these would be stray away from the realism factor that Nolan created, but hey that's why its a reboot right.

10.) Court Of Owls
Court of Owls 008
They are a secret group of Assassins similar to the League of Shadows, so they would definitely be familiar. Everyone in Gotham considers them a myth, but they are there in the shadows causing havoc to anyone in their way. They would require a stronger villain to be forceful, as they couldn't carry their own movie. But would be great secondary villains, as Scarecrow was in Batman Begins.
9) Clayface
I know a few of my friends have said they would love to see Clayface on screen, however I am luke-warm about it. He would definitely leave an impact, especially with his ability to mutate in different shapes, but I feel that he would need someone running the show, just like Court of Owls. Would be cool to see him on the big screen though if given the right story.
8) Mister Freeze
Mister Freeze is in DESPERATE need of a reboot after what Schwarzenegger did to this character. After a few years of completely dis-approving of the character being allowed back on screen, the Arkham video games came out and completely flipped my decision. Freeze is in need of a cure for his wife to save her from her terminal illness. Victor Fries keeps her frozen while he tries to create a cure to save her. He could carry his own movie given the right script, and if the director takes a page out of the Arkham story, then everyone will forget about the Schwarzenegger/Schumacher debacle.
7) Hugo Strange/Deathstroke
He doesn't need to commence in hand to hand combat with Batman, but he will give him fits. Dr. Strange is one of Batman's biggest villains, and one of the first to know his secret identity. He is a super-genius, originally creating affects to allow his goons to commit crimes. He could be the ring-leader in a movie, putting Gotham in his control and taking over the city. He could use Deathstroke, one of Batmans most skilled adversaries to do the fighting for him. And I think the perfect person for the Doctor Strange role is Robin Williams. If you haven;t see "One Hour Photo", watch that and you'll see why.
6) Scarecrow
Scarecrow is my favorite Batman villain, but one who is not entirely popular with most fans. He uses fear gas to create fear among civilians turning them against one another. The toxin brings your worst fear to life right in front of you and heightens the intensity of it (just imagine that for a second). I really enjoyed what they did with this character in Batman Begins, and I feel there is potential for more development of this character in future Batman films. I don't know if he could survive a movie on his own, because he doesn't have the fighting prowless of a Deathstroke or Bane, but I feel he is main villain worthy. Imagine your worst fear being brought to you in 3D?
5) Hush
In my opinion, given the right script, you would have a decent Batman film with Hush as a standalone villain. He is also never been used in the movies which makes his story much more fresh. Hush grew up with Bruce Wayne when they were children, and became his biggest enemy as adults. Hush could not stand his parents, even tried killing them. He holds a grudge against Bruce and when Thomas Wayne saved his parents life after Hush tried to murder them. He prevents Batmans biggest villains from killing him because he wants the satisfaction of killing him. Could make for a great story, maybe with Leonardo DiCaprio or Jeffrey Donovan as Hush?
4) Mad Hatter
Mad Hatter was my favorite villain as a kid. He is a skilled hypnotist who is obsessed with Alice in Wonderland, going so far as to believe he truly was the Mad Hatter from Alice in Wonderland. He uses hypnosis to commit crimes, and he places mind control chips in hats to paralyze and hypnotize his victims. He will stop at nothing to gain control of Batmans cowl. His powers rival that of scarecrow, so I feel because Scarecrow was already used, Mad Hatter would be much stronger right now. The CGI for a mind controlling hypnotist would be insane, but he could not carry his own film. Which leads me to.....
3) Black Mask
I feel it's only a matter of time before we see Black Mask on the big screen. On behalf of all Batman fans I'd just like to say "Hurry Up Already!" Black Mask is a fantastic super villain, who is obsessed with masks, even carved a mask out of his fathers coffin to wear, which is the infamous mask you see him wearing in the comics. He actually despises Bruce Wayne more than Batman because Wayne saved his parents company that he previously bankrupted after they died. He resented his parents over their concern of social status than caring for him. His story ark goes deep and he would be another new refreshing story to add to the cinema.
2) Joker
The Clown Prince of Crime. Listen, I know everyone raved and raved about Ledgers performance. I agree he was absolutely phenomenal, something never seen or possibly ever duplicated in a comic book film. But lets be realistic, you don't have the Batman without the Joker. This character could have carried the whole Dark Knight Trilogy himself. Not just because of how well Ledger did, but because of all the angles you can go. When Batman gets re-booted, Joker will be there, this time they can try something to Joker's origin. How about before he became the Clown? They can start with Red-Hood, his character before he became one of the most popular villains in history. But I feel this next character is long overdue for the cinema debut....
1)Harley Quinn
Doctor Harleen Quinzel is a psychiatrist who was working with and eventually falls in love with the Joker while he is in Arkham Asylum. Quinn frees Joker from the Asylum after her boss reads her case files and proceeds to fire her after he notices the infatuation with Joker. She is completely oblivious to his lack of care or sympathy for her. When she is not with Joker, she goes off on her own, committing crimes with help from friends. She is very close friends with Poison Ivy, who even helped her become immune to certain chemicals and poisons. She is very strong and agile, and has fought Batman by herself on occasion. She is a great character, and teamed with Joker could really wreak havoc on Gotham City. The relationship between her and the Joker could carry its own movie, and I know Batman fans will go crazy the day that she gets her due. I even thought the perfect girl to play her would have been Britney Murphy, because she maintained the perfect balance between crazy and normal. Sadly, she has passed on, but I know that there are some women out there more than capable(Anna Faris?). The next film that includes the Joker, must include the debut of the Princess of Crime.
