New Batsuit....Dark Knight Returns Suit?!?!

It's been about a week since everyone's seen the photo of Ben Affleck in the new Bat-suit. My thoughts initially were that it looked great, much different from Christopher Nolans suit. I did not care much for Christopher Nolan's Bat-suit design, because it looked too robotic and machine like.

A recent interview just came out today with Kevin Smith about the Bat-suit (You can read the article on batman-news.com). If you don't want to go to the site, here's the most important part of the conversation he had on his Hollywood Babble-on podcast:

"So what the suit looks like… and I was always kind of keeping it quiet until they revealed it, but they’ve f***ing revealed it. You can kind of see and you’ve seen some people take the picture and color it online. If you want to see what this f***ing suit looks like, you just go to Frank Miller’s “The Dark Knight Returns”, go to the third book, Hunt the Dark Knight…it’s the exact f***ing outfit he’s wearing. That’s why I hugged that guy all those months ago.”

With this new nugget of information, it leads to the suit being GRAY and BLUE!!!. Directly from The Dark Knight Returns book 3. Arjun Varma from ibtimes.co.uk posted a custom-colored photo based on the newly released information, and if this is the direction they go, it's gonna be awesome! Personally I would love to see Batman don the Blue and Gray as is traditional to the comics. Will be an excellent change of pace and will help separate Zach Snyder's Batman from other Batmans in the past.
